MACDL membership allows you the opportunity to take advantage of various services provided by MACDL. Membership in MACDL allows you access to the Public Defenders’ brief bank where you can search these summaries of appellate court decisions, and memoranda that have been written by MACDL members. Members also can take advantage of MACDL Amicus services as well as utilize the MACDL list serve to get input from other MACDL issues that arise in your practice. MACDL also has a bank of speakers were available to speak to groups on criminal justice issues.

Speakers

Many MACDL Members are available as speakers for events, CLE and seminars. If you would like more information regarding potential speakers, please contact MACDL with the topic of the event. You will be contacted with a list of MACDL members that specialize in your area of interest shortly thereafter.

Amicus

This committee of MACDL members is available to assist in the writing of legal briefs, memoranda of law, and giving of oral arguments to any MACDL criminal defense lawyer who apply to it. The amicus committee can be invaluable to solo practitioners, lawyers in rural areas with less of a support system, or lawyers who simply need help formulating ideas and additional support for their arguments.
